The Architect Inside the Cathedral

Amanda Hamon writes adventures. She doesn’t design rules. In August 2019, Paizo released Hellknight Hill — the first adventure path installment for Pathfinder 2nd Edition. She wrote it. The opening encounter puts players in a burning building. The fire takes turns in initiative order. It spreads. It blocks exits. Players earn experience not just for fighting creatures but for rescuing trapped villagers and solving the environmental puzzle of a collapsing structure. She didn’t design PF2e’s rules. But she wrote the adventure that showed players what the system could do.
