Drakar och Demoner Expert: The d20 That Defined a Nation

Drakar och Demoner Expert, published in 1985 and co-designed by Blixt and Lars-Åke Thor, was a comprehensive redesign. It was a genuine regional innovation that shaped how an entire nation experienced role-playing. The d20 skill system in Expert was significant but did not travel beyond Sweden. Expert Nova is a descendant of that work, showing Blixt’s capacity to refine systems over decades. At age sixty, returning to design after a transition away from tech-writing, Blixt distilled four decades into an intentionally lightweight and modular classic Swedish tradition.
